Ladies, here’s the shirt for the 29th Annual Women’s Distance Festival 5k Run/Walk, which is 8am, July 9th, 2016 at Rockland Lake State Park.
We ask you to unite with the Center for Safety and Change in the fight to end domestic violence and sexual assault against women and children. Sign up for the 5K and compete as an individual or create a Mother/Daughter, Sister/Sister, or Grandmother/Granddaughter team. We also have a team event for groups of 5 or more! We can only guarantee shirts to the first 600 women and girls who register online. The link to register is below. We would like to thank Claudia Cohen, once again, for the amazing shirt design. Speaking of shirt design, the name the phrase contest is open! One of you will scribe the phrase on the back of the 2017 race shirt. Submit entries to WDF@rocklandroadrunners.org.
Online Registration is $22.50 for Rockland Road Runner members and $27.50 for non-members. Team registrations are available for Mother/Daughter, Sister/Sister, or Grandmother/Granddaughter at $45 provided that at least one team member is a Rockland Road Runner. If neither is a Rockland Road Runner, then the cost will be $55. Teams of 5 runners/walkers are available for a discounted cost of $22.50 a team member provided that the team meets a minimum requirement of 5 members.
Once again the Growler and Gill will be hosting the after party again. This year, the start time will be 10am, soon after the awards ceremony is completed. All are invited and all will receive happy hour pricing.
Online registration closes at 11:59pm Tuesday, July 5th. Registration can be done in person Race Day or at Pre Race Packet Pick-up, but once online registration closes, in person registration is $30 for all events whether you are a Rockland Road Runner or not.
Packet Pickup will be from 4pm to 8pm on July 7th at Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Palisades Center in West NY.
