The club’s upcoming General Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 4 promises to be something special. Guest speakers will be four RRR members who completed the U.S. Ironman Triathlon Championship held Aug. 11 in New York City, New Jersey and Rockland County. Bill Carpenter, Kate Tormey and Mitch Pollack will give a presentation touching on the history of the triathlon, their training routine and race experience. Bruce Yang will also offer his perspective on finishing the demanding 140.6-mile trek under very trying conditions.
Check presentations will also be made to beneficiary charities from recent RRR races. As always, there will be free pizza, beer and soda.
