This past weekend was our Adopt-A-Road Fall Cleanup at Rockland Lake and we had a great turn out! Thank you to all of the runners, friends and families that came out to help! We had a exceptionally clean year along the roadside and some nice warm weather. A special thanks to John Melican or JoAnn Hodges for organizing and leading our cleanups!
Halloween was still lingering in the air as RRR Members Gary and Alyssa Holland found John Melican’s little surprise along the outer loop!
We’ll see you in the spring for our next cleanup!
Adopt-A-Road Spring Cleanup – Date and Time TBA.
Many of us run the outer loop on a regular basis, we would appreciate if you will pitch in and help us Keep Rockland Beautiful. Our spring clean up at Rockland Lake is scheduled to begin at 8:00am. We meet at the south entrance to the lake where trash bags and pick up tools will be handed out. Latex gloves will be available but we suggest bringing your own gloves. A team of twelve will enable us to complete the cleanup in a little more than half an hour by starting at both ends as well as the middle. This is the road that many of you enjoy. Please help us keep it clean.Looking forward to seeing you there. Thank you!
